These crispy popcorn chicken bites are golden on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. They’re quick, flavorful, and perfect for snacking, dipping, or serving with your favorite sides. Whether you’re making them for a family meal, game day, or a fun appetizer, these bite-sized pieces are guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.


Ingredients for Chicken 

  • 1Ib of boneless skinless chicken thigh (cut into bite sized pieces) 
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • ½ tsp black pepper 
  • 1 tsp garlic powder 
  • ½ tsp onion powder 
  • ½ tsp chicken bouillon 
  • 5 tbsp corn starch 
  • 1 cup all purpose flour (½ for mixing and ½ for coating) 

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced 
  • ½ tbsp gochujang 
  • 3 tbsp ketchup 
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce 
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar 
  • 1 tbsp honey 
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Garnish

  • Toasted sesame seeds 
  • Sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with the egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chicken bouillon and flour 
  2. Mix well and let it rest for 10 minutes   
  3. Coat the chicken one by one in flour before frying (for extra crispness dip in egg yolk) 
  4. Fry the chicken in oil on medium heat until golden and crispy 
  5. Lay the fried chicken onto a piece of paper towel to completely drain of oil and set aside
  6. Melt butter and add in the spices for the sauce 
  7. Toss the chicken in the sauce until evenly coated 
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions (optional) 
  9. Add white rice as a side dish (optional)
